All you Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon fans, rejoice! The show will be back on television starting tonight, and brace yourselves to revisit the love story of Arnav Singh Raizada (Barun Sobti) and Khushi Kumari Gupta (Sanaya Irani). In a video posted by Star Plus, we see the actor get emotional as he makes the announcement and talks about his love for Khushi. The clip is captioned, “Can you believe it's been 6 years since you last met them? It's time to meet Khushi and Arnav again! #IssPyaarKoKyaNaamDoon, Starting from 7th Jan, Mon-Fri at 4pm only on StarPlus. @gulenaghmakhan @barunsobtisays@sanayairani.”
Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, which made Barun Sobti-Sanaya Irani’s pair an overnight sensation, is returning on public demand. The popular show has had 3 seasons. The second season had Shrenu Parikh and Avinash Sachdev in lead roles while the third brought back Barun Sobti albeit with Shivani Tomar. You may recall, fans had lashed out at Gul Khan (the producer) when she had decided to introduce Shivani opposite Barun. However, the producer had categorically said that she will not “justify” her decision.
She went ahead and brought forth Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3, but evidently she had to pay the price of the bold decision as the channel decided to pull the plug on the show, just 3 months after it went on-air. It will be interesting to see how the show fares on TV now considering the fans can now watch Barun-Sanaya again.
